Poems Lingua Franca and Penned In by Desiree Gezentsvey
Visual art - lino print and paper handmade from crossword dictionary by Neil Buddle
The works were developed through discussion and selection. 2 poems with a language theme were selected. The poems were then handwritten by the writer for interpretation by the artist. The backgrounds were inspired by the visual and emotional imagery in the poems. The paper was handmade from an old crossword dictionary to bring the literary theme into all the layers of the work.
